Professional leadership is one of the key factors for the success of organizations. Current empirical studies show that leadership behavior has a significant impact on the attitudes and performance of individual employees, as well as positively influencing the climate and cooperation within teams and the entire organization.

Accordingly, leadership research is one of the most extensive and significant fields of research within industrial and organizational psychology.

The team of the LMU Center of Leadership and People Management focusses mainly on the following topics in leadership research:
